In response to popular demand, the Ear Science Institute Australia has made our ‘Happy Hearing’ Program available online.
Suitable for Nursing staff, Carers and family members as well as anyone who utilises hearing aids, Happy Hearing provides information and tried and true tips that cover:
- Hearing loss and its impact on communication;
- Care and maintenance of hearing aids;
- Strategies to maximise communication with people who have a hearing impairment
The program consists of 6 modules, allowing candidates to work at their own pace, and revisit information as desired. These modules cover:
- Signs of Hearing Loss
- Communication Strategies
Happy Hearing also features 'how to' movies that support care staff in maximising successful communication with hearing impaired.
